I originally had installed the XFree86-4 port, which did provide this, but after reading in FreeBSD diary (http://www.freebsddiary.org/xfree86-4.php) that this mega-port is to be soon deprecated in favor of the sub-packages XFree86-4-libraries -clients and -Server, I deinstalled the mega-port and reinstalled the sub-packages. It appears that the sub-packages don't provide libfreetype.so.6. The only reference I could find about this problem is Problem Report ports/30813, http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=30813. I tried to install the ports/gnome port in case it was provided there, but it also failed missing this file. Is there another package I can install that provides this file, or should I just deinstall the sub-packages and reinstall the XFree98-4 mega-port? Thanks.
