hi, i recently installed freebsd 3.0-980311-snap. all the docs say freebsd supports monochrome video adapters (the really old stuff, with very little ram and limited graphics support, ttl monitor output). i plugged one in with an old mono monitor, works fine up until the kernel is loaded. on vga, text turns to bright white after this - in mono, nothing more is displayed. cursor just blinks and doesn't move. the system boots and runs fine, but no output to the screen. i recompiled the kernel with pcvt, booted from it, no change. is this a new bug in freebsd 3.0? (video card appears to have 4kbytes of ram, main chip number is tm6310) thanks To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
