Hello, My name is Rick and I now have FreeBSD 2.2.7 installed on 3 of my 4 computers at home. I'm trying to install it on my fourth machine but I'm using an old Mitsumi cd-rom and controller card # 74-1881a but the install doesn't recognize it. Is there something I might be doing wrong during install? I have another question, I'm running both FreeBSD and Win98 on two machines. I'm trying to configure a small machine to be just a dialer to the internet for both operating systems, it's running just FreeBSD, I've configured my ppp.conf to dial by typing "dial isp",but can it be automated so when I'm running FreeBSD from a different machine, or my wife is running Win98, we can connect without having to type anything on the dialer machine? I have my internal network running great, but I can't seem to get this dialer working properly, no matter what I do. Please Help.
