In the complete freebsd manual, it says to edit the /etc/ttys file which I did. My modem is on cuaa1 so I have a line in this file that looks like this. ttyd1 "/usr/libexec/getty std.57600" unknown on secure When I try to dial this line the phone just rings but my modem does not answer. I am running the 2.2.6 edition. I would appreciate any suggestions.
