I am running way back at r351523 where things run very well and all is very very stable. hydra# uname -apKU FreeBSD hydra 13.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 13.0-CURRENT r351523 GENERIC powerpc powerpc64 1300042 1300042 I am afraid to even try to move forwards given that this runs so well. However progress being what it is I have tried, repeatedly, to just get a "buildworld" going but that blows up real fast : r357959 357862 /lib/clang/libllvmminimal fails buildworld with cc1plus: error: unrecognized command line option "-std=c++11" https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=244102 Now there *may* be more recent snapshot images somewhere that will work and I seem to recall that you and I have very similar hardware. It may be possible to move forwards but I will await until I see here on the maillist that it is even reasonable to try. -- Dennis Clarke RISC-V/SPARC/PPC/ARM/CISC UNIX and Linux spoken GreyBeard and suspenders optional
