Now isn't that lovely... any ideas? I've also have been trying to get my Vibra16 pnp to work...but I've found 100 different docs on how its supposed to be installed... I've tried the sb0 devices in the kernel, and pnp...and others but none work. Any ideas on that one? Thanks for your help! I'm going to bed now....but I'll be back in the morning...or late afternoon :) Loren Thiel At 06:36 PM 12/18/98 , Robert wrote: > >< hitting head against wall > >now I see > >On Sat, 19 Dec 1998, Loren Thiel wrote: > >> Here's the output of ls -Al /usr/X11R6/bin/X* : > >The output I didn't pay (much) attention to :) > >> >> lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 24 Dec 19 01:49 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -> >> /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA >> -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 756928 Sep 28 08:21 /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86Setup >> -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 27499 Sep 28 08:17 /usr/X11R6/bin/Xmark >> -rws--x--x 1 root wheel 5090 Sep 28 08:21 /usr/X11R6/bin/Xwrapper > >You have no X servers installed! >No wonder it's not working ... :) > >Just do it manually.. if you have a cd, should be in XF86332/Servers >( for 3.0 ) .. copy the XSVGA.tgz file to /usr/X11R6/bin , gzip -d and tar >xvf it, and try running it again.. > >-rob > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
