I have an Elsa microlink pci isdn adapter connecting using pap to my internet account (Demon Internet, UK) using isp0 and sppp on a FreeBSD 4.4 release system which is otherwise running contentedly. It connects and tcp traffic appears to flow normally at ~7.8 kbps, I am happy. However after a variable period of time, from 5 minutes to many hours, traffic stops flowing and I receive a serious of protocol violations. This is very sproradic and I cannot see a pattern - for example I cvsuped the whole repository yet repeated attempts to fetch the kde sources have failed. I do see traffic flowing intermittently over the link whilst the download is "stalled" - but it doesn't appear to be "download data" ( I could use some help capturing it if it is relevent). I may be mistaken, but when the downloads are in this state I can still use udp - commands such as ntpdate dtrt. This adapter and isdn box have been working happily with NT so I am assuming that the hardware is not at fault; I would appreciate some help locating other potential sources of this problem. I have attached a complete session from type "make fetch for a package" to stopping idsnd (I would have included it inline but it's kinda wide) Thanks Steve ------=_NextPart_000_0153_01C19506.520116B0
