does anyone have any idea how to make this usb modem work under freebsd? when i type ifconfing -a this is what appears: lp0:flags=8810<POINTOPOINT,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 faith0:flags=8002<BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 lo0:flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16389 inet6::1 prefixlen 128 inet6:fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopid 0x3 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask axff000000 ppp0:flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 sl0:flags=c010<POINTOPOINT,link2,MULTICAST> mtu 052 according to some other people neither of these devices are the modem. on the dmesg the modem is detected and i have usb enabled im using 4.8r and the modem works just fine under win xp with usb. when i detache it under fbsd a message appears saying that the sb4100 was detached and same thing when i attach it back. thanks for helping. _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
