However, could I install fbsd on a totally separte box as follows: hook up box two (the fbsd box) to the local lan using dos. then load fbsd onto box 2 over the lan using the ide cd on box 1. Will this bypass the hardware requirements of fbsd not liking the ide cddrive because box 1 is running the cddrive? I have ne2000 generic ethernet cards. will fbsd detect this ok? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- / BIG BEAR ONLINE INFORMATION SERVICE SERVING BIG BEAR VALLEY \ - Ski/Tourist & System Info Send Blank Email to info@bigbear.com - \ FREEBSD UNIX Mail List 4 TBBS/ISP SysOp's fbsdlist@bigbear.com / - Modem (909)866-2138 28.8 Fido 1:207/501 Inet sysop@bigbear.com - / Computer/Network parts at wholesale prices call (909)866-2196 \ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
