Try to see whether your problems are solved if you omit the call to
`foo_prepare_track()' from within `foo_finalize_track()'.  Jean-Marc
put it there in order to re-adjust the blocksize setting of the drive.
Apparently, sending mode page 0x21 to the drive isn't something the
drive loves very much if no write data are following.  I've got a
patch from Jean-Marc that reduces this call to a plain MODE SELECT
with just a buffer header, and no actual page.  I haven't been able to
test this patch yet, however.

It is likely that the same things are broken in -current, btw., but
apparently nobody is using CD-Rs with a -current machine.
