In general it is advisable to keep reasonably current with your console firmware. Updates are created by Compaq engineering to fix problems etc. For Tru64 the SRM upgrades are mandatory in a lot of cases. > P.S. can I Eventually upgrade the firmware safely after I install FreeBSD ?
