There is probably an old "readme_directory = no" directive in the file which causes the readme files to not be installed. You need to remove /usr/local/etc/postfix/main.cf then rebuild and reinstall. You will then need to reapply any customizations you made to this file. This is only a user work around. The build/install/package process is inconsistent with respect to using old data from main.cf and probably needs some work.
