Tried to install 5.2 RC-1 on hp rx2600. It boots fine from the CD, and it pops into the serial console install-mode without any problems. When I have allocated diskspace for FreeBSD and try to use the CD-drive as install-media I get this message: No CD/DVD devices found! Trying a ftp-based install doesn't get me any further, it does seem to recognize all of the built-in NIC's during boot, but does not accept a manual ip-config or dhcp. So the SCSI-drives are recognized, but the ATA-CD apperantly not. Do I need to provide some boot-parameter? Tried the snapshot from Nov. 19'th but no diff. It's a Itanuim 2 with 4 GB RAM. regards Claus Yahoo! Mail (http://dk.mail.yahoo.com) - Gratis: 6 MB lagerplads, spamfilter og virusscan
