And in most cases, fingerd logs queries > without any problems. This happens on my 3.3-STABLE system when the user doesn't specify a user to finger (-s). I do have tcp_wrappers enabled with inetd -wW, but I remember seeing this before that. Perhaps a better (non) error message could be logged? Greg.
