> I was wondering if a site is currently running FreeBSD and switches to Red > Hat how tough of a move is this? Depends on what the site is doing. In any case you'll have to do a total reinstall, including repartitioning and reformatting -- linux can't use a UFS partition (at least, not reliably in r/w mode) and requires several DOS-style partitions, rather than subpartitioning a single DOS partition like UFS does. What are your reasons for switching? FreeBSD does a very good job of running linux binaries, so that can't be it? You should also ask on a redhat list. Rahul.
