Also personally at least I find Qmail way easier to setup, with system accounts at least. Using vmailmgr for virtual domains takes a bit of getting used too, but there is a very nice web based interface for the qmail/vmailmgr solution. Vmailmgr: http://www.vmailmgr.org/ Good HOW-To (for linux but most of it carries over) http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Qmail-VMailMgr-Courier-imap-HOWTO.html O-Mail Admin: (web based qmail/vmailmgr admin) http://omail.omnis.ch/ -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG] On Behalf Of Martin Gignac FreeBSD Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2001 11:44 AM To: Andy Myers; freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: Qmail vs. Sendmail The http://cr.yp.to/ site is probably the best place to get info on the advantages of qmail. Disadvantages? Maybe just adapting to a new way of doing things (qmail is different in design to Sendmail). I've migrated from Sendmail to qmail in the past and quite painlessly at that. For some reason, I feel more secure running qmail, and tend to trust it more to do its job round the clock without any interruption. I have a qmail server that been running continuously for almost 300 days now, without any downtime... -Martin > Any advantages/disadvantages in using Qmail instead of Sendmail? > > Thanks much, > > Andy Myers > Orlando, FL USA > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
