If your worried about the active directory stuff within your network,
you can do it on separate subnets, win2kas has an option to connect to
other subnets then the one that it is on.
The setup I have is something like this

|dc0 > --- < hub > --- < wired lan > (192.168.10.x subnet)
Internet <modem | Freebsd firewall/router -current |wi0 >
--- < wireless clients > (192.168.15.x subnet)
Wi0 is running in hostap mode (it=92s a dlink prism based card), on the
wired lan I have a win2k advanced server running as a primary domain
controller, and another machine on wired subnet running as exchange
server (nothing important runs there though, just for fun purposes, real
mail is sent through bsd box running postfix on wired lan). All windows
desktops (yes.. Al 3 of them heh, including laptop and ipaq that run on
wireless network) authenticate of the the windows server, regardless of
what subnet they are on. The firewall/router has 3 interfaces, 2
internal, 1 external.
I don=92t see why that cant work for you if your willing to use separate
subnets.

That's not exactly what I had in mind.. the setup I want is something
like this (bare with me if you don't understand)
{internet}-- [fxp0 <Firewall> fxp1] -- Wired-LAN (with clients on
100mbit) -- [fxp0 <FreeBSD> wi0 (AP)] ~~ Wireless-LAN with several
clients
Now, you might understand my situation better. I want the clients on the
Wired-LAN to use the same IP-subnet as the clients on the Wireless-LAN.
It should work like just as if I would plug all the clients into the
100mbit Wired-LAN.. Will this work?
I hope this clears things up.
