Feeling well informed I set up my ppp, tried it and it (ppp) freezes. I had my internal modem set at COM_2 (bios default) but the kernel couldn't find it where the bios said it was located. So I moved the modem to COM_1 and disabled COM_2 in the bios. rebooted, now FBSD can find the modem, open the device, but nothing happens once I go to term. #ppp #ppp ON mobile> set dev /dev/cuaa0 #ppp ON mobile> set speed 115200 #ppp ON mobile> term -frozen it seems, although ~h still returns the help, ~t still returns the time. But nothing else happens at all. The online manual and the man pages give excellent walk thoughs but I can't find much on how to tell whats wrong. Everything in the kernel config seems correct, I made comparisions with LINT to be certain I had no typos. I'm now out of ideas. Should I look at PAO? Any suggestions?
