PEBKAC eh? mixer settings were WAY low on pcm4. cranking
up mixer vol & mixer pcm fixed the issue.

New keyboard + uhidd + multimedia keys + custom scripts for
volume control = desaster at times. Especially when you don't
check the output of mixer(1).
