There are a few places in the Handbook and the articles collection that modems are mentioned too. What would you look for in the release notes about modems' support? Would a simple paragraph like the following be ok? All external serial modems should work with FreeBSD out of the box. Some USB modems work too. The XXX type of USB modems don't work because "foo". Those modems that are "designed for Windows" can not work with FreeBSD except for the "bar" type. Giorgos.
