It's always the job of the writer to make themselves understood to the reader, rather than the other way round. > Anyway, that MKDIR line should be removed for all versions, right? > Isn't it part of the USER rule in Mk...? As in: The directory ${LOCALBASE}/${PGUSER} will be created when the ${PGUSER} user account is generated? Yes, in principle, except that the home directory in ${PORTSDIR}/UIDs for pgsql is fixed to /usr/local/pgsql and doesn't take account of changes to ${LOCALBASE} [*]. Not a problem with 9.6 or above given the switch to /var/db/postgres, but still a problem for 9.5 and below. Cheers, Matthew [*] There's some 44 uids in UIDs with a home directory under /usr/local for whom this could be a problem. --mAEvmFwmsEhBpgCtgk8m9lSxkin3q2HcD-- --BWD0uTW6VuTJDREmvxqAgsXxVM52rEVXN Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJX0scXAAoJEABRPxDgqeTndGsP/0sZ7XP9qSfnTeURsrFjzevE A1p/YYk0AQKE+22gpC1/uJBbMMgys1AuRJagw4NR3G2di3b3POpg0NgzNxiQYpW+ e3ge4HyVHT7ZmOOM1c/gHq697SlLM5sKlHYI/jhdEgwg0GyTe3pyvVRUX9RwzG// 3s+oL+/DWMab9OtjUBSWyXmZ4MmiEQGai2QQ64Aw9bWnTsRIhL1L+sfkYPHwlBQ8 lsT0HTeVsY6CHt+gTibfy1Vgnwpk7A5n7dYcJVXB78Q0caAipDMKYAZf/IH2yDFC 6Le1Ken4bO4Kmdeh+4cEVbHTESPIxiROMJgephWSQepdbUU+RBQw5xuCRrilzg3m v/xul1nOyoDPkzh25rkqj2xsy1YnsNWqHapAAuUq36XyU1rUpKgPJuqP+AOxmb9M srBU8RaGq2UMRAQWoSKmzOTUAnyxjIVHTq7T5tZZm30Uyo6OhYXajfusU4zEdD68 kK1weahCVg+JG4IpF2T581T4YWwuByj13L5wal8fG8/UHCsmyEA03FiGQEyXLjob Hss6TppWsiUkXsgAMPLAixfa797ft35LdGnzNXyOq+EWJpf0S60F1CUxTET/hkvF lWYgAA+BMSA1mHVN+VTMKNfSwq90IJYilUp+C0MIdOsLkPAF4IiujLpL+eJS61Sr vblHdoCD974sN9j2f6uJ =Rs04 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --BWD0uTW6VuTJDREmvxqAgsXxVM52rEVXN--
