I built xorg-7.7 on FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE #0: Mon Jun 11 23:48:45 CEST 2 amd64 . When I do a plain # startx (no xorg.conf set) I receive -------------------------------- [...] (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Mon Jul 2 04:46:35 2012 (==) Using default built-in configuration (30 lines) (II) [KMS] drm report modesetting isn't supported. Segmentation fault: 11 at address 0x8 Fatal server error: Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault: 11). Server aborting [...] -------------------------------- Is it this KMS-thing causing the fatal error? From reading emails on this list I got the impression this would only affect machines with an Intel graphics chip - which I don't have.
