I have a system today with a vinum disk setup. I'd like to install
new FreeBSD (5.1) with the same disk layout. Here's what I'm
wondering:
Can I load the vinum module before the installer from the install
CD, thus allowing the installer to see the existing file systems?
I think if I can do this I should be able to tell the installer to
newfs them and do an install saving a lot of trouble over the more
manual vinum install procedure.
If this should work, how do I load the kernel module from the new
boot loader?
