There has been two STABLE version 3.8 and 3.10 since then. And 3.12 is due in a month. Also I cannot change configure on it's own as it is generated from a configure.ac file via the autoconf tool. Finally it looks like the problem was fixed some time ago. It is certainly in the current STABLE version. [end of response] I really think we need to update the opal3 port.
