Just curious.. did I get a bum CD (unlikely) or are these instructions
wrong:
Fix: If you have the source distribution installed, simply
cp /usr/src/etc/login.conf /etc
otherwise, mount the 2nd CDROM and copy it from the live filesystem
(cp /cdrom/usr/src/etc/login.conf /etc) instead.
[inserts CD #2 (Live Filesystem) from FreeBSD 2.2.2 CD set (green label)]
% mount -t cd9660 /dev/cd0a /cdrom
% cd /cdrom/usr/src/etc
/cdrom/usr/src/etc: No such file or directory.
% cd /cdrom/usr/src
% ls -lFa
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 2 bin bin 2048 May 20 04:28 ./
drwxr-xr-x 14 root wheel 2048 May 20 05:16 ../
%
... Why no source?
This is from a subscription, not a single purchase...
