Really think you should try using 10 or 192 address space for your internal host[s] if you haven't already. I don't think anybody's stack looks for a 1.x.x.x address locally. Class A 1.0.0.0 is IANA Reserved-9, and I can't find that it's reserved for private networks. If you know otherwise, I'd like the URL for my own education.
