IMHO everything is right: port creates new user/group (just as mysql-server does). Where else uid needs to be registered except in /etc/passwd? Does that mean that I cannot leave this sort of things on behalf of the user who's installing the port, and every non-root/nobody/etc service must be taken special care of? This seems odd. ./danfe
