Do you have oss installed? This is required by x11amp-0.70, a bit of a problem if you ask me, since I haven't been able to use oss yet without having my machine (in fact several different machines) panic while using it. If they got oss to be more stable I would happily pay the registration fee since it greatly simplifies the audio setup. cheers, Carey Nairn On Sat, 15 Aug 1998, William Woods wrote: > When I try to use the x11amp port, I get these errors, but I can play CD's fine. > > Unable to open the audio device > Unable to reset audio device > > ------------------------------------ > Here is the sound drivers set up in my kernel: > --------------------------------------- > > # PNP Driver > controller pnp0 > > # Sound > > device pcm0 at isa? port ? tty irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x0 vector pcmintr > #controller snd0 > #device sb0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 vector sbintr > #device sbxvi0 at isa? drq 5 > #device sbmidi0 at isa? port 0x330 > ---------------------------------------------------- > > Any ideas greatly appreciated.... > > --------------------- > William Woods <wwoods@cybcon.com> > Date: 15-Aug-98 / Time: 15:09:16 > --> FreeBSD 3.0 CURRENT <-- > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
