Hi Iwasaki-San, Apologies for the delayed response as I was offline. I installed the above patch, but with no considerable change. I am still having problems with ACPI on my IBM A31p TP. Right now, I am using the world and kernel from 7th December. Is there a patch against the latest cvs ? These are the errors I get acpi0: on motherboard ACPI-0625: *** Info: GPE Block0 defined as GPE0 to GPE15 ACPI-0625: *** Info: GPE Block1 defined as GPE16 to GPE31 Using $PIR table, 14 entries at 0xc00fdeb0 ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_NOT_EXIST and this error I get when I try to suspend the TP. acpi0: AcpiGetSleepTypeData failed - AE_NOT_FOUND But then, the TP shuts down properly with ACPI if I poweroff with the button. Anything else I am missing ? TIA Regards Sid -- You can't carve your way to success without cutting remarks.
