It might be advantageous to merge all the .dsc files into one.  You'd
save both inodes and space (since the .dsc files each waste at least
one fragment while the combined file will probably fit into one or two
fragments).  Of course you'd have to modify sysinstall, and that might
be considered too risky so late in the cycle...
