For those who are interested, my local wholesaler has the Genius
ISA soundcard based on the OPL-3D for $13 wholesale.  I've got a
couple of these, and will be attempting to dulicate the answering
machine using one of these cards in the next few weeks.  Let me
know if you're interested, and I will report my results in the
multimedia list.
