As long as you make a backup copy of the /etc files on the local machines for reference, this should be an okay thing to do. However, if it were me I'd do it in single-user mode. (Which means you'd have to bring it up to multi-user mode to get the network stuff, and then back down to single user mode). That's how I do most of my upgrades. Nate
