Moreover, pam_xdg sets XDG_RUNTIME_DIR to /var/run/user/<username> while ck-launch-session sets it to /var/run/user/<uid>. Let's hope this does not break anything in subtle ways. BTW, this is one of reasons I was initially unsure about the whole pam_xdg idea.
