I keep getting signal 11. I am using IBM Thinkpad/760 with 3-Com 3c589 PCMCIA network card. I get to the ftp site just fine. After going thru the ftp download (which takes about 2 hrs), I get the ftp site location screen again. I select "Cancel" to get out, and I get the Signal 11 error and a reboot. Everything is lost that was downloaded and I have to start again. If I select "OK" at the menu, I get connected to the ftp site and I start the download again. How do I get past the ftp download? I have turned on debugging for this, my 4th attempt, to see what is happening. Because of the extremely slow download times, I would like to load from an NFS server I have here, but what data sets do I download to my server? I want to build my machine to a "user" level. Many thanks for the help. CHris Sagar csagar@iterated.com
