well, I just Portupgraded rdesktop and, as you suggested, passed "-M
'CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include'" to portupgrade.

The compile ran thru fine!

Just wanted to let you (and others who have the same Problem) know that
your circumvention works :-)
