And these other ftpd's I have been looking at perform the same or similar functionality. What I was really looking for was an ftpd where I can disable at compile time (that is they return an error and are not implemented in the binary) all FTP commands that alter the local filesystem *and* does not allow non-anonymous logins. - Mike > > --nFreZHaLTZJo0R7j > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > Content-Disposition: inline > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > On Fri, Sep 13, 2002 at 01:23:28PM -0700, Mike Hogsett wrote: > >=20 > > Ok, so I am setting up an anon FTP server. > >=20 > > I was wondering if anyone knows of an FTP server that I can compile with > > all write (put, mkdir, etc) abilities disabled and that rejects all > > non-anonymous logins. > > The standard FreeBSD FTP server can do this..see the manpage. > > Kris > > --nFreZHaLTZJo0R7j > Content-Type: application/pgp-signature > Content-Disposition: inline > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (FreeBSD) > > iD8DBQE9gngfWry0BWjoQKURAtJiAKCCd6rEQV5BVM20ioAg3sYunaQ1gQCg6PHE > TKaRrGHVjGwsuVw7jeJlZOk= > =mvtv > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > --nFreZHaLTZJo0R7j-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
