If he doesn't allow the change to go in and core isn't interesting in making a decision on technical merits, then the only thing I can do is call for a vote by the entire committer community, on the merits, as to whether the change should be made. What else can I do? You've hog-tied me and you don't seem to be interested in listening to any argument made by anyone other then BDE.
