Since it's plug and play, do you have a PnP BIOS?  And have you applied
Luigi's PnP patches to your kernel sources?  (They weren't included with
2.2.2, might be in 2.2.5, and are in -current).

My SB32 has worked fine, even though it is a PnP card at heart.
