When I try to boot kernel.old, the same happens. Not having a clue for this (it happened earlier, but disappeared after a reinstall), I hope you can help me. System is a 3.1-RELEASE on a 80486-DX2 66. In the mailinglist-archive I found this: Joe McGuck system hanging at "changing root device to ..."
