I am trying to play a MIDI file. When I do so
(using playmidi) I get errors about /dev/sequencer
not being available.

That device exist in /dev. My kernel contains:

device pcm0
device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15

What else do I need?
Thanks.
