You might like to look at vpngate. They are also seeking nodes, especially nodes in the USA. Running nodes is very easy on FreeBSD, meant to serve, bandwidth is cheap, nodes are disposeable. Nothing is ever "free" but what you give to charity. Consider how helping vpngate can help you in return someday.
