Maybe audio samples fail to fill the buffer in time before being played. Set
hw.snd.verbose to 2 or greater then check "underrun" of the affected proces=
s in
/dev/sndstat. If underrun !=3D 0 try bumping hw.snd.latency and make sure
hw.snd.latency_profile=3D1 (default).

Try switching audio backend as described in firefox/pkg-message. Each one h=
as
different buffering defaults.
