Yes. These are installed as third party software.

I use unix tools to do administration on my machine. I find them far more
flexible and powerful than even the Norton Commander that I loved in DOS
land.

Absolultely! You wont need the emulator for zip/unzip because you can get
native binaries for these. As for the Commander, it will run under the
Linuxulator.
