I have this system : PROC:K6-2/300 RAM:64M HDD:Q13Gb 1 ethernet card SMC-ez-100 (rtl8139) 1 cd teac 24x 1 SB Yamaha OPL SaX. The problem: if in the system is present a very old ISA ethernet card, with some ancient UMC chip (ne2000 compat)., the generic kernel (provided with the 4.3-cdrom) hangs shortly before booting (it says that he detected some Acorn ethernet card). I don't mind it too much, I just took the card out and everything worked perfect (btw, 4.3 is a VERY good release). Just wanted you to know. If you need more details, I can reproduce this and give you further informations.
