You run `netscape'. `xearth', `xdaliclock' and `xload', all of which do large numbers of bitmap operations and likely trigger a large memory usage situation in the server. (i.e. the memory leak bug). I'm running a -stable from earlier this month (June 2nd) and do NOT have this sort of problem... (BTW: Your nice little sed expression trimmed out a lot of info which could have been useful, like the %MEM, VSZ and RSS of the applications...)
