I have an IMAP folder with 400,000 Thank you for the suggestion, but I was looking for a GUI client. Thanks also to everyone who tried to help in any way. Currently I'm trying to setup a new profile in ThunderBird, as it seems this might solve the slowness. The reason I'm doing this, behind being accustomed to it, is that I need to support TB for my customers, so if I use it myself, it'll probably easier. If, after adding account after account, extension after extension, option after open, etc... it gets slower again, I'll try claws-mail first. bye av.
