These functions are not part of ANSI C (See Portability and the C
Language by R. Jaeschke).  I don't know their status with respect
to POSIX, I doubt they're required by POSIX.

Sprintf(), which is part of ANSI C and FreeBSD, provides the
functionality of [fcg]cvt.
