I believe ncurses 4.2 has been released. I've got a couple of emails sitting in my Inbox from T. E. Dickey regarding ncurses. We're advised that ncurses newer than 1.8.6 (specifically 4.2) to use mytinfo may be some work. Incidentally, he also states that he is quite willing to help (possibly even `do the work for') anyone who wants to add FreeBSD mouse support to ncurses. Code already exists to support mice on X, Linux, and QNX. Adding mouse support for us is certainly possible, but I'm not sure how straightforward it would be. Last time I checked, our documentation was also wanting. Also, be warned. Dickey would appear to use DejaNews to kiboze, so you're being watched. :-) -- tIM...HOEk OPTIMIZATION: the process of using many one-letter variables names hoping that the resultant code will run faster.
