So starting my own company not working out, not for lack of clients, but for lack of payment right now, and paying the rent and feeding my fiancee and the dog and two cats is of utmost importance (who cares if *I* starve) So I'm looking at finding an established company with a decent track record to work for in this area. I can do anything from some simple C coding (and probably a lot more with some mentoring) to extremely complicated network infrastructure/security/systems administration.
