OK, fixed. Apparently, Perl considers readdir() tainted, so my realpath() implementation returned tainted strings, which caused exec() to fail, resulting in an empty failure report. The funny thing is that it worked fine at home (7.0, Perl 5.8.6) and on the -stable box (6.0, Perl 5.8.7) but not on the -current box (7.0, Perl 5.8.7). DES --=20 Dag-Erling Sm=F8rgrav - des@des.no
